101 - Definitions.
Customer Bulletins are designed to provide our customers with information regarding changes or enhancements to our services. Customer Bulletins are emailed to our customers and posted here on our website.

1) Q. When can customer agencies access the system?
A. The system is live and any agency representative with a valid NYSDS account can access the system. However, the full ITS Service Catalog is not yet available. Agency representatives will have limited authorization within the system until all request items are live.
2) Q. Can I review my agency’s requests even though I am not the requester?
The ITSM Program
The Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) is implementing an organization-wide Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Program. The goals of this Program are to optimize service delivery and improve customer service by implementing consistent, reliable and repeatable processes. The ITSM Program began with ITS’s implementation of Incident Management within the Customer Care Center. Currently ITS is working on implementing include Service Request Management, Change Management and Configuration Management.
Only State agency telecommunications representatives officially designated as such with the ITS Division of Telecommunications may order ITS directories using the CS 70 form which is used to initiate a journal voucher. These forms may be obtained from the Division of Telecommunications at 518-474-8974 or at the ITS website JV Request for Phone Directory Chargeback Form.
In September 2011, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo signed New York’s electronic recording law, which permits electronic recording of instruments affecting real property by recording officers in New York State (Chapter 549 of the Laws of 2011). Starting September 23, 2012, the law’s effective date, recording officers may receive and record digitized paper documents and electronic records affecting real property, such as deeds, mortgages, notes and accompanying documents.
